This short Theodore Ushev animation is a zoetrope-inspired music video for “Demoni,” a song by Bulgarian band Kottarashky & The Rain Dogs. Experimenting with pre-cinema optical devices, Ushev used an old Viking gramophone and 50 vinyl records painted with oil, acrylics, and gel paint markers to create this light-hearted piece reminiscent of early-20th century painters such as Miro, Kandinsky and Klee.
