One year after winning the Guy-L.-Coté Grand Prize for Hairy Legs, the Nova Scotian filmmaker invites us into her colourful world for what promises to be an exhilarating talk.

Discover the endearing, imperfect and handcrafted universe of this multidisciplinary artist from Halifax. Behind her brightly coloured animated films, with their seemingly naïve style, lies a self-taught filmmaker who has turned vulnerability into a true creative strength. Describing herself as a “collector of stories,” Andrea Dorfman has directed many award-winning short films, including Hairy Legs (2024), Flawed (2010), Big Mouth (2012) and How to Be at Home (2020).
