E.D. Films is an animation production studio based in Montreal, Quebec, operating at the forefront of animated film and immersive media. Founded in 2007, the studio has earned a global reputation for technical excellence, cross-sector innovation, and exportable creative tools. Films was integral to the acclaimed Indigenous PEOPLES EXPERIENCE in Edmonton — a THEA and Prix Numix winner — and the studio’s collaborators have included internationally recognized talents such as Whoopi Goldberg (THREE TREES) and Johnny Depp (through work on immersive exhibitions such as THE BLACK BOX in NYC for TAIT). E.D. Films’ recent film, RETOUR À HAIRY HILL, was shortlisted as one of Vimeo’s “Best of Staff” Picks, won 11 international awards including Sommets du cinéma d’animation Grand Prize Best Canadian Animation Films, and was selected for Official Competition at the prestigious Annecy Festival.
