Few producers in Quebec focus exclusively on animation. Producing an animated film, and especially a feature length one, involves many challenges. Founder of 10e Ave Productions, producer Nancy Florence Savard has met these challenges by specializing in films for young people. The Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures-based studio has produced five theatrical feature films, all of which have met with great success both in Quebec and abroad: The Legend of Sarila, Le coq de St-Victor, Nelly et Simon : Mission Yéti, Félix et le trésor de Morgäa and Katak, le brave béluga.

In this discussion with the artistic director of the Sommets du cinéma d'animation, Marco de Blois, Nancy Florence Savard, who holds an honorary doctorate in the art and science of animation from Université Laval, will talk about her background and explain what it means to be a producer.
